Museum Membership

 

The SDNG Museum is supported by two types of donations: endowment funds and sustaining funds.

Endowment funds are received, invested, and tracked by the SDNG Minuteman Fund. The SDNG Minuteman Fund is listed as an approved charitable organization with the IRS and endowment donations are tax deductible. The following endowment donation categories have been established:
  1. Governors Club Member - An individual or organization that is a paid up member of the Adjutant General Club and contributes a minimum of $500 additional to the National Guard Museum payable in annual installments.
  2. Adjutant General Club Member - An individual or organization that contributes a minimum of $500 to the National Guard Museum payable in annual installments.
  3. Life Club Member - An individual or organization that contributes a minimum of $100 to the National Guard Museum payable in annual installments.

Make endowment donation checks payable to the SDNG Minuteman Fund and forward to SDNG Minuteman Fund, 2823 West Main, Rapid City, SD 57702-8186. Be sure to include the following information: Name, Address, City, State, ZIP, Phone, and donor level from above.

Sustaining funds are received and used by the SDNG Museum for operational expenses. The following sustaining fund categories have been established:

  1. Organizational Sustaining Member - Group sustaining membership for South Dakota National Guard units or for civic service organizations for one year may be obtained by application and contribution of a sum of money equal to one dollar for each member of the group at the time of application. Membership is for one fiscal year.
  2. Individual Sustaining Member - Any person may apply for an individual sustaining membership by application to the board of directors and the payment of a $10 annual membership fee.

Other monetary gifts are also welcome. Make checks payable to the SDNG Museum Fund and send to the SDNG Museum, 301 E. Dakota, Pierre, SD 57501. Be sure to include the following information: Name, Address, City, State, ZIP, and Phone.

The Museum is a nonprofit organization, which accepts donations of military items and financial assistance for our operational funds.
